GREAT AMERICAN COUNTRY (GAC) has announced that the network will sponsor CAPITOL NASHVILLE act LADY ANTEBELLUM’s “Own the Night 2011 Tour.” The 21-city arena tour will feature special guest MCA NASHVILLE artist JOSH KELLEY on all dates and a combination of EDEN’S EDGE, and RANDY MONTANA on a rotating basis.

Aug 24, 2011 • Lady Antebellum Share Teasers of All 12 Songs From New Album

Last week, Lady Antebellum released the title track to their upcoming ‘Own the Night’ album to radio stations. This week, they’re teasing fans with 30-second previews on Amazon of all 12 songs from the project, due out on September 13.

While the song ‘Own the Night‘ was a traditional deviation from the songs that have made the band famous, there doesn’t appear to be another like it on the album. Many of the remaining 11 — including ‘Just a Kiss’ — seem to be more polished, like hits ‘Need You Now’ and ‘American Honey’ from previous albums.

Lyrically, these snapshots pull one in enough to wonder where the story goes next, but alas we all have to wait three weeks. ‘Cold as Stone’ is one to keep an eye on, as is the peppier ‘Singing Me Home.’

The trio makes a habit of writing songs based on each other’s personal lives, and Hillary Scott has provided plenty of fodder over the last 12 months. Now that she’s happily engaged, one wonders if we’ll find an album full of more upbeat tunes.

Lady Antebellum are set to open their Own the Night Tour this fall in Knoxville, Tenn. The first show is on November 11, and Randy Montana and Eden’s Edge will open. Also, look for the trio on NBC’s ‘Saturday Night Live‘ this October.

Jun 23, 2011 • Lady Antebellum Praise Alabama, Shania Twain

Like millions of fans, Lady Antebellum are welcoming Alabama and Shania Twain back to country radio. And for the first time ever, all three of these artists are on the country charts at the same time.

Alabama is a guest on Brad Paisley’s chart-topping “Old Alabama,” Twain has debuted with “Today Is Your Day” and Lady Antebellum is climbing quickly with “Just a Kiss.”

“Shania really helped bust down the doors as far as bringing in a bigger audience, a little more of a contemporary sound. She’s one of the first big crossovers,” Charles Kelley told CMT.com during a recent visit. “Obviously with ‘Need You Now,’ we had a little taste of that. I think Shania definitely opened the doors for that. She makes some of the best records. You look back at those records and they’re just phenomenal.”
